۞ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ عٰهَدَ اللّٰهَ لَىِٕنْ اٰتٰىنَا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ
Terjemahan Indonesia:
Dan di antara mereka ada orang yang telah berjanji kepada Allah, “Sesungguhnya jika Allah memberikan sebagian dari karunia-Nya kepada kami, niscaya kami akan bersedekah dan niscaya kami termasuk orang-orang yang saleh.”
English Translation:
And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah, [saying], "If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity, and we will surely be among the righteous."

IndonesiaAyat ini menerangkan tentang sifat orang-orang munafik yang suka berjanji dengan janji yang muluk-muluk, berani bersumpah dengan menyebut nama Allah untuk menguatkan janjinya itu. Mereka berjanji akan menjadi orang pemurah, dermawan dan menjadi orang-orang baik. Akan tetapi mereka dengan mudah saja melanggar janjinya. Perbuatan yang seperti ini akan dijumpai pada diri segelintir manusia pada setiap masa dan di mana saja.
